Custom Event Import System

Challenge

A client was entering thousands of event records by hand — well over 100 hours of manual work per cycle, with errors creeping in.

Solution

A custom WordPress import system: CSV/Excel ingestion, validation, error handling and real-time progress, with admin tooling built around the real workflow.

Technical approach

OOP PHP plugin, batch processing to avoid timeouts, data validation and de-duplication, and admin screens for review before publish.

Data entry dropped from 100+ hours to about 2 hours, with fewer errors and a repeatable process.
